Unique Experience Photo Workshop In Umbria With Renowned Photographer Catherine Karnow
- delicious food, yoga, Italian Charm, unforgettable moments -
Catherine has been teaching photography since 1995; and has taught at Maine Photo Workshops; Santa Fe Photo Workshops; and many others. For National Geographic, she currently teaches Weekend Workshops in San Francisco, at Miraval in Tucson; and the National Geographic Traveler Seminar in cities all over the US. She also gives private workshops and teaching seminars all over the world, for a myriad of private, corporate and editorial clients.
This workshop will be what it is like to be on assignment for some of my favourite travel magazine clients, such as National Geographic Traveler. In my career I have been lucky to meet all sorts of fascinating people and have all kinds of extraordinary experiences. I want you to know what that is like. I have handpicked the most fun parts and people for you to meet and photograph. We will also learn from local experts about the culture, history, art, and food of Umbria.
We will be staying at the charming La Locanda Della Quercia Calante, a converted farmhouse just twenty minutes outside Orvieto, in the hills of Umbria. Our hosts, Fausto and Lucia, are warm and lovely and their mellow and generous hospitality set the tone for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The food at La Locanda is delicious and healthy, much of it from their own organic farm. We will also have a few meals in local restaurants. Guest rooms are simple and traditional, with terra cotta floors, wood-beamed ceilings and individual porches. www.querciacalante.com
